Upcoming Spring Job Fair
Jobsonyonge.com is Toronto’s newest job-site with an exclusive focus on retail and hospitality.
Our services are marketed heavily towards young workers and new Canadians, and along with our sister site in Vancouver, we are increasingly the employment-news gateway for out-of-province workers and young international working-holiday makers.
Our summer job fair is coming up this August. Space is free for employers, and space is available at a low cost for industry and education exhibitors.

WORK PERMITS
Some job seekers you will see at the Jobsonrobson (JOR) & Jobsonyonge (Joy) fairs hold special educational work permits called "C30 work and study visas".
You will see that these work permits specify a BC, AB or ON registered educational institution as their employer.
This means that they are registered as a full time or part time student at BC, AB or ON private or public college and training programs.
As part of their courses they must complete a period of "work experience".
But regardless of their special visa status, effectively, you can treat them the same as you would a permanent resident or Canadian citizen as long as you are aware that they have unlike the latter two groups, these workers have an expiration date (according to their visa), and their registered public or private college needs to have information about where and how they are working.
The JOR/JOY fairs are promoted to Canadians, immigrants and a few selected private & public colleges in BC & ON.
C30 visa holders you meet during the fair are registered students at recognized education and training partners of JOR and JOY.
